Based directly on a book written by Michael Lewis entitled The Blind Side: Evolution of The Game which was published in 2006, this sports drama has indeed turned some heads, especially on actress Sandra Bullock who’s movie The Proposal wasn’t as good as many expected. The Blind Side is a wonderful movie to watch with the family especially during this holiday season.

Review
Being one of the main characters in The Blind Side, Sandra Bullock plays Leigh Anne Touhy who works as an interior designer in the movie and plays mainly a role of a mother and also wife. The plot of the movie starts with the introduction of Michael Oher, played by Quinton Aaron who is a homeless teenager from the poorer side of town. Having the hopes of becoming a promising football player, Michael Oher was able to attend a private school in Memphis with the help of their football coach who was desperate to have a winning formula for his slumping squad.
Although being able to attend a quality school in the state, Michael did not have a home to go to and at times had to sleep in the school gym. However, through the friendship he has with S.J, finally he was able to have a home for himself as S.J’s parents invited him to stay along with them.
The story then practically revolved on how this teenager from the poorer side of town strived to earn himself a place among society, a family and also to attain a scholarship to attend the school he was currently in. His foster family which currently consisted of S.J, Leigh Anne and Sean Touhy (Tim McGraw), were there to encourage and help him all the way to accomplish his tasks and which eventually bonded them to become a family.
The Blind Side is indeed a movie not to be missed especially for the Christmas season as it depicts the strength of a family and shows togetherness.
