Moviegoers familiar with previous works of Lars von Trier (“Antichrist”, “Dogville”, “Dancer in the Dark”) will not be surprised by his decision to address the issue of compulsive sexual disturbance known as nymphomania and will not raise eyebrows when they see sexually explicit material containing graphic and exaggerated because it is the line that he usually takes, who shared with Björk and Sigurdsson Sjón an Oscar nomination in 2001 for the original song “I’ve Seen It All” from the soundtrack of the drama “Dancer in the Dark”.

Journalists from Screen Daily discussed the project “Nymphomaniac” with producer Peter Aalbæk Jensen, his business partner Lars von Trier, who said that the film in question is most likely that it will address the first filmmaker in the near future and will be spoken in English and will be at the heart of a woman’s erotic life from the age of 0 years and ending 50 years of age. Peter Aalbæk Jensen added that “Nymphomaniac” will have two different versions, the first showing graphic sex and forcing the hand of censorship, and the second being edited so as not to go beyond the restrictive censorship to be projected on a large scale in the cinema.

“Nymphomaniac” shall consist of eight chapters and will focus specifically on dialogue and Peter Aalbæk Jensen assured the journalists that will be a very funny movie, although it has many erotic scenes.
