16 April, 2010
The American actor, stand-up comedian, and R&B singer Jamie Foxx (recently seen in Valentine’s Day, Law Abiding Citizen, The Soloist, The Kingdom, Miami Vice and Collateral), and 20th Century Fox Animation will make team to work on the new animation movie Welcome to the Jungle inspired by an original history written by the scenario writer Malcolm Spellman (who also wrote the scenario for Our Family Wedding).
Jamie Foxx will make his first incursion into the world of animation films. He will lend his voice to one of the characters in the movie in addition to producing the project in partnership with Jamie Rucker King, his manager and partner within the company FoxxKing Entertainment. Foxx, which is also an artist R&B member who won a Grammy, will write the original music for the project.
The details of the scenario remain secret for the moment. The only evidence left by Malcolm Spellman and his team is the sentence: The life is a jungle, welcome in it.
Foxx could be seen on the big screen next November in the comedy Due Date directed by Todd Phillips. Note that Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis also play in that motion picture.
