George Clooney gives up the project “The Man from UNCLE”

George Clooney and director Steven Soderbergh have collaborated on the comedy cop action “Out of Sight” and thrillers “Ocean’s Eleven”, “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen” and their excellent working relationship was about to materialize in 2012 in the action comedy “The Man from UNCLE” adaptation of the television series from ’60s with the same title.
There was a time when it has been speculated that this project will mark the end of the career of Steven Soderbergh, who announced plans to withdraw from the film industry to devote full glory passion for painting, but in the meantime the director decided to put his signature on the comedy with strippers named “Magic Mike”.
Although it is unlikely that between George Clooney and Steven Soderberg to occurred friction, Deadline editors claim that the star of 50-year-old abandoned the project “The Man from UNCLE”, for which he signed in November 2010 , the decision was motivated by the overlapping program with that of another project that Clooney is planning to address.
A source who is aware of the health of the actor noted for editors of E! Online that he was wounded in the head and back while filming “Syriana” and face the constant recurrence of these medical conditions, so that is no longer able to perform his own stunts and avoid action movies: “He said that simply cannot do action scenes and stunts. In fact, I think he intend to support a new operation intervention during the filming”.
Warner Bros. Pictures officials made no change in the program to start filming, Steven Soderberg will start all the cameras in February 2012, but under the circumstances, will be intensified searches for hiring an actor in the distribution of first-hand to replace George Clooney.
“The Man from UNCLE” follows the adventures of a Russian and North American members of a secret agency called United Network Command for Law & Enforcement (UNCLE).

The first trailer for the upcoming thriller The American, a realization of Anton Corbijn (who directed Control in 2007), is from now on available on the Internet.
The project is the film adaptation of the novel A Very Private Gentleman written by Martin Booth a published in 1990. The scenario for the motion picture was written by Rowan Joffe,
Among all the assassins, Jack (played by George Clooney) is a true professional. In the story line, a work in Sweden finishes hard for this American killer. He promised to his contact Larry (played by Bruce Altman) that the next contract will be the last. Then, Jack is found in Italy where he ground in a small town and enjoys the fact that he has escaped from his death. The contract, as specified by a Belgian woman whose name is Mathilde, is imminent. Surprising himself, Jack ties a friendship with a local priest (played by Paolo Bonacelli) and he maintains a lovesong with a woman originating from the city (played by Violating Placido). However, while leaving the shade, Jack could face the destiny.
The American should be released on the North-American screens on September 1st.

Four Actors Join George Clooney in Next Movie Directed by Alexander Payne

The actors Beau Bridges (Max Payne), Judy Greer (27 Dresses, Love Happens), Robert Forster (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past), and Matthew Lillard (the Scooby-Doo franchise) agreed to join the distribution of the film The Descendants, a motion picture realised by Alexander Payne (who directed Sideways and About Schmidt).
With this project, Payne carries out his first film on the big screen since Sideways released on the screens in 2005. The filming should star this week in Hawaii.
The Descendants, which is held in Hawaii, tells the history of an indifferent husband and father of two girls (George Clooney) which is forced to restore relations with those after his wife has involved in a big boat accident on the offshore Waikiki.
The scenario, written by Alexander Payne, Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, is inspired by the first novel written by Kaui Hemmings Binder (entitled The Descendants).
The distribution is also made up of Shailene Woodley, Mary Birdsong (from the series Reno 911!), Nick Krause and Amara Miller.
Payne, Jim Burke and Jim Taylor will produce the project via their own company named AD Hominem for the Fox Searchlight studio.
