“I rode about 40 horses in a crazy gallop on the battlefield and, if followed closely the scene in the movie, you could see how I fell under my horse and was almost trampled by 40 horses, but Walton Goggins turned his horse to one side and saved my life. I am very lucky to be here tonight”, said Olivia Wilde, quoted by Contact Music. In the male roles is starring Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford.

The film “Cowboys and Aliens”, a western directed by John Favreau, had its world premiere at Comic-Con on Saturday in San Diego. Comic-Con International convention is an annual event where professionals meet, exhibitors and fans of the comics industry, and products that include elements of pop culture.

The film “Cowboys and Aliens”, which will come to the cinema in the U.S. on July 29, is based on a series of comics. The action is set in Arizona in 1873, when a spaceship starts he alien invasion of the Earth from the Wild West of America. In its way stays some divided cowboys, who must learn to fight together.

After having been featured for Jon Favreau in Iron Man 2, the actor Sam Rockwell will remake team with the director for Cowboys and Aliens.

Daniel Craig (recently seen in Flashbacks of a Fool, Defiance and Quantum of Solace), Harrison Ford (recently seen in Extraordinary Measures, Crossing Over and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) and Olivia Wilde (who will be seen later this year in The Next Three Days and Tron Legacy) already form part of the distribution of this adaptation of a comic book by Platinum Studios created by Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foley Rosenberg.

The story line proceeds in Arizona, in the 19th century, whereas a conflict between the cowboys and Apaches is stopped by the crushing of a spaceship. The hostile plans of the invaders will force the Native Americans and the cowboys to link themselves to fight against the extraterrestrial beings.

Rockwell will play the part of an owner of bar named Doc. which joint with the tracking of the extraterrestrial creatures.

The scenario was written by Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof and Roberto Orci. When Favreau and the scenario writers learned the interest from Rockwell for film, they modified the role which was to be held at the beginning by a strapping actor.

Steven Spielberg, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard produce the project. The flimeng must start next June.

The American film director Jon Favreau revealed Wednesday on Twitter that the actor Harrison Ford was in talks to join the distribution for Cowboys and Aliens.

He will incarnate a cowboy in this film which will also star Daniel Craig (who played James bond in Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale).

The project is co-financed by DreamWorks Pictures and Universal Studios. Ron Howard and Brian Grazer produce the project via Imagine Entertainment in partnership with Steven Spielberg and Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, chairman of Platinum Studios.

Cowboys and Aliens is the adaptation of a Platinum Studios comic created by Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foley Rosenberg. The scenario was written by Alex Kurtzman , Damon Lindelof and Roberto Orci. Kurtzman worked with Orci for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The trio also worked together on the last Star Trek movie and are working on the sequel right now.
