It is adventure time with Alister Gierson’s Sanctum this February. Sanctum is about a thrilling underwater cave adventure where a team of underwater divers try to escape out of a cave. Sanctum has a strong cast of Richard Roxburgh, Alice Parkinson, Rhys Wakefield, Christopher Baker, Dan Wyllie and Ioan Gruffudd. The movie is written by John Garvin and Andrew Wight. Sanctum is shot in 3D which means that when it hits the theaters, this nail biting adventure is going to be even more engrossing. With a tagline that says “The Only Way Out is Down”, Sanctum is surely raising eyebrows and setting the expectation bar pretty high.

Sanctum is about the adventure of a group of underwater divers who try to explore an underwater cave that is extremely dangerous and very difficult to access as well. The expedition takes them through a labyrinth of pathways inside the cave where eventually their way of coming out closes behind them. This unforeseen disaster forces the team of exploring underwater divers to find an alternative way out by moving deeper inside the cave. Their problems do not end here since right now they have very limited supplies and now the race has become that of survival and survival alone in this perilous journey.

The budget of this movie is reported to be around the $30,000,000 mark. This is a huge movie that has the correct combination of characters along with the breathtaking special effects that will eventually make you feel as if you are in the movie itself. Sanctum has been filmed in Australia. Most of the filming took place in the Gold Coast, in Queensland.

The 3D effects add up a huge punch to the adventure and thrill of a movie and it has done exactly that with the adventure movie Sanctum here. This movie is meant for the huge 3D screens and one should not miss out Sanctum which is being released in February, 2011.
