North American Anne Heche (“Rampart”, “Six Days Seven Nights”, “Volcano”, “Cedar Rapids”) will be joining Colin Firth, Kristin Lehman and Emily Blunt on the set of the black comedy “Arthur Newman, Golf Pro” and will portray the dominating, exacting and demanding girlfriend of Colin Firth.

The recent Oscar winner mindset resentful man, who hates his current job, remained strained relations with ex-wife and son after the divorce, is fed up over head with the girl who never ceases to reprimand him and concludes that the best way to get rid of all these drawbacks is to stage his death.

Given the chance to take life again with a new identity, Arthur Newman meets the beautiful and sympathetic Mike (Emily Blunt), which has in turn question which strives to move past that dark runs, the two of them entering in the homes of others posing as owners of these homes, whenever the true masters are missing from home.

Although the premise seems devoid of depth and originality, decent distribution and especially the fact that the script is signed by Becky Johnston (“The Prince of Tides”, “Seven Years in Tibet”, “Under the Cherry Moon”) allow us to hope that this black comedy will be a great movie after all.

According to Empire Online, at the directorial helm of the “Arthur Newman, Golf Pro” has installed the veteran Dante Ariola who has built a career in directing advertisements and video documentation (working for Coca-Cola brands, Adidas, Nike, Lexus or Volkswagen), which aims to give start filming in October 2011 in North Carolina.
